Silento, the Atlanta rapper recognized for his hit track “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” was arrested Monday and charged with homicide within the capturing demise of his 34-year-old cousin, authorities stated.
DeKalb County police stated in a press release on Twitter that the 23-year-old rapper whose authorized title is Ricky Hawk was arrested within the suburb of Atlanta. The police assertion stated he’s within the county jail, charged with homicide in reference to the January 21 demise of Frederick Rooks.
The assertion didn’t elaborate on the circumstances of the demise or Hawk’s arrest.
The Atlanta Journal-Structure reported that Hawk was being held with out bond late Monday.
The newspaper had reported beforehand that police responded to a name of photographs fired on January 21 about 3:30 a.m. in the neighborhood of Panthersville in DeKalb County. The newspaper cited police as saying officers discovered Rooks lifeless with a number of gunshot wounds that evening.
